Managed Hosting

Someone should own
the server. Let it be us.

We put most clients on Frappe Cloud, the official platform from the team that builds ERPNext, and manage it for you end to end. Where Frappe Cloud is not the right answer, we deploy on AWS, DigitalOcean or your own hardware instead - hardened, tuned and backed up nightly either way.

Our Default Recommendation

Most clients belong
on Frappe Cloud

It is the hosting platform built by Frappe themselves - the same team that writes ERPNext. For the large majority of businesses it is simply the best place to run the product, and it is what we recommend before anything else.

The platform from the people who write the code

Frappe Cloud is the official managed platform for ERPNext and Frappe apps. Upgrades, security patches and infrastructure tuning come straight from the source, which means no waiting for a third party to catch up when a new version lands.

We handle everything on top of it: sizing the plan, migrating your data, deploying your custom apps, testing upgrades on a staging bench and answering the phone when something looks wrong. You get the platform's reliability and our accountability.

  • Upgrades from the source New ERPNext releases arrive on the platform first, tested by the team that shipped them.
  • Backups and one-click restore Automated off-site backups with point-in-time restore, so a bad import is an inconvenience, not a crisis.
  • Custom apps supported properly Your own Frappe apps deploy from Git onto a private bench, with a staging site to try them on first.
  • Transparent, published pricing Plan costs are public and usage-based. The figures on this page are Frappe Cloud's own.
  • No lock-in It stays your site and your data. Pull a full backup or move off whenever you decide to.
AWS or DigitalOcean When you need a specific region, VPC peering or an existing cloud commitment honoured.
Your own cloud account We build and manage the stack inside your tenancy, so billing and ownership stay with you.
On-premise Where policy or regulation requires the data to sit on hardware you physically control.
What Managed Means

The jobs nobody gets around to

Patching, certificate renewal, backup testing and version upgrades are all easy to postpone indefinitely when they belong to everyone and no one. On a managed plan they belong to us.

Hardened by default

Firewall, Fail2Ban, SSH key-only access, and a WAF in front. Nothing is left on a default port with a default password.

Nightly encrypted backups

Database and files, encrypted and stored off-site, with restores tested rather than assumed. You can hold a copy yourself.

SSL and renewals

Certificates issued and auto-renewed. Nobody gets a browser warning because a cert quietly expired on a Sunday.

Tuned, not just installed

MariaDB, Redis, Gunicorn workers and background queues sized to your actual concurrency, then re-tuned as you grow.

Monitoring that pages us

CPU, memory, disk, queue depth and uptime watched around the clock. We usually know before you do.

Version upgrades

Frappe and ERPNext upgrades run on staging first, with your customisations regression-tested before production.

Staging environment

A mirror of production for testing changes, on Private Bench and above. Nothing gets tried live.

No lock-in

It is your instance and your data. Ask for a full backup at any point and you will get one, no exit fee.

Plans

Three environments, one standard of care

The figures below follow Frappe Cloud's own published plan pricing, which is the platform we deploy most clients onto. Backups, SSL and upgrades are on every plan. What changes is isolation, access and how much headroom you have.

Shared Starter

Trials and small test sites

Rs 400/mo

Approximate shared cost

  • Shared compute quota
  • Nightly backups
  • SSL included
  • Automatic ERPNext upgrades
  • Email support

Production and custom apps

Rs 2,000/mo

Base starting cost

  • Isolated resources
  • SSH access and custom apps
  • Staging environment
  • Nightly encrypted off-site backups
  • Monitoring and alerting
  • Priority support

Custom

Scoped to your load

  • Everything in Private Bench
  • High-availability setup
  • Dedicated or on-premise deployment
  • Load testing and capacity planning

Indicative Frappe Cloud starting costs, not a price list. Actual cost depends on users, data volume, region and whether you need high availability - which is why we quote against your real numbers. Our management fee is quoted separately and stated up front.

Cloud or On-Premise

Cloud suits most, but not everyone

If policy or regulation puts your data on your own hardware, that is a valid answer and we will deploy there. Most businesses are better served by not owning a server.

Managed cloud

  • Frappe Cloud by default, and it is the right call for most
  • No hardware to buy or replace
  • Patching and upgrades handled
  • Backups off-site automatically
  • Scales by resizing, not procurement
  • Predictable monthly cost

On-premise

  • Capital cost up front
  • Your team patches and backs up
  • Power, cooling and physical security are yours
  • Scaling means buying hardware
  • Sometimes required by policy or law

Tell us your load,
we will size it properly

User count, roughly how many transactions a day, and where the data needs to sit. That is enough to size a server honestly rather than sell you headroom you will never use.

Already running ERPNext somewhere else? Say so below - migrating a live instance across is routine, and your current setup keeps running until you confirm the new one is right.

We reply within one business day. Your details are never sold or shared.

Questions

ERPNext hosting FAQs

Because it is built and run by Frappe, the team that writes ERPNext. Version upgrades, security patches and platform tuning come from the source rather than from a third party working out what changed. Add automated backups with point-in-time restore, proper support for deploying your own Frappe apps from Git, and a staging site to test them on, and it covers what most businesses need without anyone owning a server. We still manage it for you - sizing, migration, custom app deployment, upgrade testing and support.
Yes. The plan figures shown here are based on Frappe Cloud's own published plans, which is the platform we deploy most clients onto. They are indicative starting costs - your actual figure depends on users, data volume, region and whether you need high availability. Our management fee is quoted separately and stated up front, so you always know which part of the invoice is platform and which part is us.
Then we deploy elsewhere. A specific data residency region, an existing AWS commitment, VPC peering with systems you already run, or a policy that requires the data on your own hardware are all good reasons to go a different way. We manage ERPNext on AWS, DigitalOcean, your own cloud account or on-premise. Tell us the constraint on the quote form and we will scope that instead of arguing for the default.
Yes, and it is a common request. We take a full backup of your current instance, restore it onto a prepared server, verify the data and app versions match, then cut DNS over in a scheduled window. Your existing instance stays untouched until you confirm the new one is correct.
Wherever you need it. Frappe Cloud offers regions in India, Europe and North America, and where you need something else we deploy to AWS or DigitalOcean regions in India, the UAE, Europe and North America. If you have data residency obligations, tell us the requirement and we will deploy into a region that satisfies it.
On Private Bench and above, yes - SSH access with your own key. Shared Starter is a managed shared environment, so root is not available there. If your team wants to deploy custom apps or run bench commands, Private Bench is the tier you want.
Yes. A backup nobody has restored is a hypothesis, not a backup. We run periodic restore tests into a scratch environment to confirm the archives are complete and usable, and you can request a downloadable copy of your own backup at any time.
Backups are encrypted at rest and in transit. Disk-level encryption is available on all plans and standard on Enterprise. For column-level encryption of specific fields we would design that as part of the implementation rather than the hosting layer.
We upgrade on staging first, run your customisations against it, and only then schedule production. Version upgrades are included on managed plans - they are precisely the kind of thing that gets postponed indefinitely when nobody owns it.
You take a full backup and go. It is your instance and your data, there is no exit fee and no proprietary layer holding anything. We will help with the handover to whoever is taking it on.
Yes, where policy or regulation requires it. We deploy and configure on your own hardware with the same hardening, backup and monitoring approach, though you own the physical infrastructure, power and replacement cycle.
