Mobile Warehouses & Vehicle Reconciliation
Every delivery van represents a mobile warehouse in ERPNext. The DMS coordinates daily loading sheets, mapping quantities allocated onto vehicles. When submitted, the system auto-posts Stock Entries (Distributor Warehouse → Van Warehouse) without manual interference. At the end of the route, returned items are audited, showing clear sales totals vs. returned quantities.

No. Exalix DMS includes customized REST endpoints (api/trade.py) and portals. This allows field sales representatives to check-in, book orders, and log surveys via a lightweight web portal or mobile app without consuming regular ERPNext User Desk licenses.
Can we customize the GPS Check-In geofencing radius?
Yes. The geofencing radius validation is configurable in the DMS Settings control page. You can set the allowed proximity threshold (e.g. 50 meters, 100 meters) from the outlet's recorded GPS coordinates. Checks are validated during the DMS Sales Visit submit event.
How is primary vs. secondary sales accounting handled?
Primary sales (manufacturer to distributor) are handled through standard Sales Invoices in ERPNext. Secondary sales (distributor to retailer) are logged via the custom DMS Order Booking & Field Collection. On submission, the DMS auto-creates a parallel ERPNext Sales Invoice and Payment Entry referencing the distributor's sub-ledger warehouse, avoiding cross-ledger contamination.
